Riding® have also taught me a lot about biomechanics and sports psychology. Natural Horsemanship, Centered Riding® and dressage all involve the art of communicating with horses on more subtle levels. Working in harmony and communicating with these wonderful animals is the most amazing thing. I love the challenge of working with them and I love teaching riding. My philosophy of teaching is this; rather than striving toward an arbitrary and stiff "ideal", I would rather develop programs appropriate to a rider's needs, abilities, and goals, encouraging independent thought and creative problem solving. With an eye toward Centered Riding® and natural horsemanship, I help my students build and strengthen the fundamentals of a solid seat, independence of seat from hands, and safe control of the horse. I help you get the most out of yourself and the horses you ride. |
